    The Martin genealogy was a joint effort with contributions from Richard Alan McCool, my cousin's son, and papers found in my father, Halsey Miller Kennedy's belongings. Also writings by Ella Moore Martin Kennedy.

    Family stories of Ella attending college and living with her Aunt while there is confirmed by a letter from Jack McCool to Richard Alan McCool, stating that Ella graduated from "Normal College for Women" (now Hunter College/CUNY), NYC on June 24, 1889, according to her diploma.
