Friends' Records are said to indicate that he "was buried in his own orc hard."

Served on 1678, 1678, 1683 committees to "demand and receive the Charte r and other papers" from the widows of recently deceased governors Arnold , Coddington, and Sanford.
"Many responsibilities were placed in John Albro's hands, as witness hi s long list of public offices. Lieut. John Albro also presented a bill o f debt about work done at the fort, 5 January 1666[/7] [PoTR 136], and wa s one of the first men sent for upon the discovery of the burnt remains o f Rebecca Cornell in her Portsmouth home, a death for which her son, Thom as Cornell, was tried and convicted of murder [Newport Court Book A:27]. "
