Alexander Robertson was a member of the Virginia Legislature. Alexander and Margaret arrived at Gordons Station, about four miles from Harrodsburger, KY, 24 Dec 1779. He built the first fine house in Kentucky about 1780. He was a justice, and Captain of his own company in the American Revolution, and was a member of the Federal Convention at Richmond in 1788 and was sheriff of Mercer County in 1792. After his death Margaret remarried and moved to Lancaster in 1806.
If you study my sources, you will see that I haven't done much research before the 1850 census. I have some material based on Bible entries, DAR applications, local history books, and wills for earlier periods but need to do a lot more work on the lines further out. Please contact me with updates and corrections.
