Note: I had a death date of 8 Feb 1855, Blount County, Alabama, but I believe Sarah was living at the time of the 1860 census. Their idiotic son John Wesley was living with them in 1850. She was shown as 72, born in North Carolina. I searched for him in 1860 and found him living with Sarah Murphree age 82 born in Virginia. The birthplace for her is different, but how many Wesley Murphrees or John W. Murphrees that are idiotic with mothers named Sarah that age could there be in the same county in Alabama?--Rose Lee Wall 2009
Sarah's occupation in 1860 was shown as domestic. She had personal assets of $1000.
