Margaret or Margery Trafford married first to Richard Longford and secondly to Sir Thomas Gerard of Byrn and Kingsley. His mother was Margaret Stanley Daughter of Thomas Stanley, Knight of Hooten. His father was Sir Peter Trafford, Knight. On 7 November 1523a whilefighting the Scots at Berwick Sir Thomas was killed. Margeryremarried to Sir John Port, Knight of Etwall co. Derbyshire. Margaret bore eight childen to Thomas Gerard.
