    Memorial services for Mr. H. Aubrey Clay and his wife, Mrs. Leona Virginia Clay will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 10, 2003 at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bob Bogue officiating.A memorial fund has been established to the First Presbyterian Church, 505 S.E. Dewey Ave, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74003 or to the charity of the donor's choice.H. Aubrey Clay, 91, died on April 21, 2003 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville. Mr. Clay was born on December 28, 1911 at Hartley, Texas the son of John David and Alma Alberta (Harris) Clay. He grew up and received his education in western Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle. He graduated from the University of Tulsa with a degree in Chemical Engineering and received his Masters Degree from Columbia University. He was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company in the early 1940's as a petroleum engineer until his retirement. He was a licensed professional engineer and continued in private practice as a consulting engineer following his retirement. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Bartlesville Elks Lodge and had been active with the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Clay was an avid brick collector, had a collection of over 5000 bricks and was a member of the International Brick Collectors Association. He was also an avid photographer and was active in conservative politics. He and Mrs. Clay were invited to the inauguration of President George W. Bush.Mr. Clay is survived by a nephew, Bertram Clay Sippola of New Orleans, Louisiana, a niece, Marie Clay Sippola of San Antonio, Texas, a cousin, Maurine Presse of Sacramento, California, and a number of great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his three wives, Violette Frances Clay, Gravis Clay, and Leona Virginia Clay.Leona Virginia Clay, 91, died on March 14, 2003 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville. Mrs. Clay was born on April 13, 1911 at Rolla, Missouri the daughter of Claude O. and Louisa (Brown) Grimm. She had been employed as a secretary for oil companies.Mrs. Clay is survived by a sister, Rae Bertch of Lexington, Texas, a brother, R.D. Grimm of Boise, Idaho, 2 nephews, and 4 nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Geraldine Harr, and a brother, James Grimm.
