    I was 7 or 8 years old and we were all living together: Grandpa(W.T.Powell), Grandma(Hattie), Dad (Clarence), me (Charles) Sharon, Margy. I was outside throwing mud ball up into a tree. They were going through the tree and hitting a window. Grandpa came outside and was coming after me to give me a "woopin". I ran and Grandpa chased me up a tree. I thought I would be safe there. I stayed in the tree until almost 11 o;clock that night. I started getting scared there in the dark. I knew it would be clear by now so I climbed down. As soon as my foot touched the ground, I was grabbed up from behind. Grandpa was still there waiting for me. Grandpa wore out a hickory stick on me.
