    Rolla Weekly Herald first i\Issue of 1881

    Summary of the school term completed December 24, 1880 of Coffman School. The teacher, George Skyles, reported that 39 students were enrolled. Amoung the students were Sallie POWELL and John POWELL. Coffman School. which all of Sallie's children attended, was over the hill form the Powell homestead. The building was still standing at the time of the 1999 reunion.
