      Subject: Phillips ancestry

      I ran across your Phillips ancestry on Ancestry.com. My grandmother was Bertha Phillips Cue, daughter of George Washington and Sarah Louise Bloomhuff Phillips. I noticed a few differences from my records and thought I would run them by you.

      George W. Phillips - d. 27 Nov 1913 of cancer of the right cheek at Shellsburg, Benton Co., IA. Married Sarah on 25 Nov. 1874 in LaPorte Co. IN.

      Benjamin Phillips - My records also say d. March 23, 1889 but his stone reads d. March 24, 1889 age 67 Ys 2 Ms 13 Ds. Also, some records say he moved to Benton Co. abt 1855. Can't prove this but know he was Benton Co.in 1868 as 2 of his children were married in Benton in1868.

      John Phillips - Buried Union Chapel Cemetery in Goshen, IN. Stone reads d. Aug 14, 1871 age 69 Ys & 7 Ds. This would make him born 7 Aug 1802.

      Esther's stone reads d. Nov 25, 1891 age 89 Ys 10 Ms 10 Ds which would make her bown abt 15 Feb. 1801. Maybe you have this information but her brother Daniel Bachelor and family are also buried in IN. - Elbridge Cemetery located on the Elkhart and LaGrange Co. Line.
