The earliest record of John Sturdivant in the New World was in
1652 in which he was granted land in what is now Chesterfield
County, Virginia. He was married to Sarah Hallom, daughter of
Robert Hallom, by 1660, around which time they were living in
Charles City County. John and Sarah had 5 children, All Boys,
between 1662 and 1672.

daughter of William Sturdivant, a hundred years after the wife of William
Bobbett passed away.

Obviously someone made a type-O and wrote 1754 as 1674 and this is
where all of this Joanna or Anna Sturdivant married William Bobbett started.

Mr. Whittington, and their land shared boundary lines.

Someone online asked:
Who are William Bobbett's other neighbors? One of their daughters
could have married him? No.

Good questions but neighbors in 1673 were few and far between and
the boundary lines show this. Also, this submitter has more information
of who married William Bobbett than is being shared here on the internet.

This submitter's Bobbitt family had not ever heard of our William Bobbett
marrying a Joanna or Anna Sturdivant

Plus, our Bobbitt family has proven Suffolk, England heritage and has
family heirlooms and traditions from Suffolk, England. We are not from
Wales.

This submitter's 2nd great grandfather William W. Bobbitt wrote:
"Mr. Whittington/Withington next door to William Bobbett had daughters,
and he handled some of William Bobbett's affairs in Virginia. William
Bobbett married one of Mr. Whittington's daughters."

This submitter's great grandmother Ida Belle Bobbitt Funk once wrote:
"A Miss Whittington marrying William Bobbett would be most likely,
as in my family Bible marriage record is printed Willliam Bobbet married
Miss Withington/Whittington."

This submitter's cousin Barney, grandson of Ida Belle Bobbitt Funk wrote:
"Francis Whittington was born in about 1624 in Nottingham, England and
married Elizabeth about 1647-1650 possibly in Virginia. Francis Withington/
