SURRY CO., NC DEED BOOK M, p. 418 30JAN1805 GEORGE BRANDLE to HENRY SHORE, A DEED This Indenture made this the 30th day of January one thousand eight hundred and five between GEORGE BRANDLE of the County of [Surry crossed out with Stokes written above] Stokes and State of North Carolina of the one part and HENRY SHORE of Surry County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said GEORGE BRANDLE for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred & twenty four dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given and granted and by these presents doth give and grant unto the said HENRY SHORE his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate on the South side of DEEP CREEK containing eighty seven acres more or less part of a tract of 600 acres granted to FREDERICK LONG bearing date 23rd day of September 1785 beginning at a corner stone in WEATHERMAN's line then South West corner of the said tract runs thence East on WEATHERMAN's line twenty five chains to a Hickory saplin thence North thirty four chains to a black oak on the bank of said creek thence up the same as its meander to a post oak on the bank of said creek thence South 35 degrees East 44 poles to a spanish oak in the old line thence South to the beginning including eighty seven acres of land together with every right and privilege belonging or in any way appurtaining to the said land and he the said GEORGE BRANDLE doth hereby bind himself heirs well and timely to warrant and defend the said premises with all its appurtenances to him the said HENRY SHORE and assigns forever free and clear from the just claims of all persons whatever.
