The will of Jesse Oldham is recorded in Madison Co., KY. It reads as
In the name of God amen I Jesse Oldham of Madison County & State of Kentucky
Being in my perfect senses do make and ordain this my last will and testament
first I give and bequeath my soal [sic] to almighty God that gave it and my
body to be buried by my Executor in a Christian like manner and as trusting
such worldy goods as it hath pleased God to bless and endow me with I give
and dispose of in the manner and form following. Item I give and bequeath to
my Daughter AMY BURTON one Shilling Stearling [sic] and no more, Item I give
and bequeath unto my son RICHARD OLDHAM one shilling stearling and no more
Item I give and bequeath unto my son [lined through] Daughter MARY ANN and
GEORGE one shilling and no more, Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter
ANNA HARRIS one shilling stearling and no more, Item I give and bequeath unto
my son TYRE OLDHAM fifty pounds Kentucky Currency and no more Item I give and
bequeath unto my daughter FRANCES OLDHAM one shilling sterling and no more
