    George served in Captain James Young's Militia Company with his brothers Martin and Jacob and brother-in-law, John Ralphsnider. George sold his land 9 November 1799 and moved to Greene County, Tennessee, perhaps to join his brother Martin who was already there. He bought land there on 24 January 1800. Many residents of Franklin County, including Froschauers also settled in Greene County, Tennessee.

    George made his will in 1815. It mentions his daughter Eve's children as well as Joseph Hutchinson. The children mentioned in his will include: Sarah Harget, Elizabeth, Nancy, Mary Meloy, Eve Hutchinson, Margaret Nees, John, Henry, George, Christian, and Jacob.

      Text: 3 George Cook, Jr. b. ca 1741 Philadelphia, PA??? The Family Tree Maker file on George says he was born in Philadelphia, PA. This has not been proven. Other Koch/Cook families resided in York/Adams/Franklin Counties in PA. How they are related is not proven.

He married Maria Elizabetha Schuz (she b. about 1747 - died ?), daughter of ?, 28 Dec 1767, in the Falling Springs Church near where the Koch family lived the day before his sister Catharina was married in the same church (His brother Jacob got married there, too, a year and a half later.). During the Revolution George Jr., Martin, Jacob and John Relphsnyder all served in Captain James Young's local militia company. George Cook Jr. sold his land 9 Nov 1799, and moved to Greene Co. TN, perhaps to join his brother Martin already there and bought land there on 24 Jan 1800.
