On Wednesday morning, the 14th inst., Mr. Rufas Landis, a well-known citizen of this county, died at his home in Brothersvalley township. The deceased was aged 48 years and 19 days, and his funeral took place on Saturday. Mr Landis had served in the war with Co. A. of the famous 10th Reserves, which was recruited in this county. He was the proprietor of one of the largest distilleries in this county.
