From notes and diagrams of George H. Van Epps (b. 1847)
written abt. 1924 or 1925, for his granddaughter, Gwendolyn
Van Epps (b. 1918): (transcribed by George Fanucci Jr., her son.)

"The Early Van Epps Family came to America about 1660 from
Delfe, Holland. [The Dutch immigrant] Dirk Van Epps [was]
    massacred [in] 1690."

[His son] John Dirkoy Van Epps [had] two children [who were]
    killed in [the Schenectady] massacre."

[John Dirkoy's other sons were] John Baptist [and] Evert Van Epps."

John Baptist was taken prisoner to Canada in 1690 [and] escaped
[in] 1693 [and] returned to Schenectady."

[Evert's son, also named] John Baptist Van Epps married
    Anna Vedder, May 1761."

[My grandfather] John Van Epps was a soldier in the Revolutionary
Army, [he] married Jane Van Vleck in 1795, [they] had ten sons."

[My father,] David C Van Epps married Cathaline Van Patten
[they] had three sons: John P., Simon, and George H. Van Epps."

George H Van Epps married Elizabeth Shankle in 1881."

I have 15 pages of VAN EPPS family history, and a family tree
diagram going back to 1660, which were handwritten by
George Hamilton Van Epps, for my mother, Gwendolyn Irma Van Epps,
    in the mid-1920's.

Alice Virginia VAN EPPS PRITCHARD (living grand-daughter of
George H VAN EPPS has said that he must have died in 1931, not 1921.
She remembers him being alive, and she was born in 1924.
She said that she was about 6 or 7 when he died. (1930 or 1931?)

    Married Elisabeth SHANKLE in 1881
(from notes of George H. VAN EPPS, handwritten ABT. 1920)

Elisabeth Shankle Van Epps lived to over 104 years old.
She died in Stanford Hospital, Palo Alto, California, in 1960.
