=== Collected family (oral) history, from secondary sources:
Marie, Joyce, Bob Bailey, Camille, George Jr., Harvey, Laura Tomei, etc:

=== [Source: George Jr. recollections... family stories...]

Tito was a blacksmith, machinist, toolmaker, he built
the iron gates and locks for Puccini's mansion near
    Lucca, Italy.

Tito worked at a blacksmith shop in Pisa, a few hundred yards
from the leaning tower. (I saw the shop in 1960... George Jr.)

Immigrated to California from Italy in 1907.

Worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard near Vallejo during
World War I as a machinist and toolsmith, helped to build
    huge propellers for naval ships.

Purchased land at El Camino Real and Castro Street in
Mtn. View, California, in about 1922? Built Fanucci and Sons
Garage, which was operated there until about 1960? by his
    son George Sr.

Tito's sons Alvaro and Scipione operated Palomar Garage
in Santa Cruz, California, with Angelo Canepa.

=== updated July 2005, email from Marie:

Tito lived with his family in 1919 and 1920 [at] 476 Wilson Avenue, Bay Terrace, Vallejo, CA. He worked at Mare Island [Naval Shipyard]. His first job was in Sacramento [1907] then he went to Lodi, Clements and Lockford and worked in each of those places as a machinist, probably. He was working in one of those towns in 1911 when he brought back his family to the central valley. After those moves they moved to Vallejo before going to Menlo Park.

When Tito returned to Italy to bring back his family, his port of entry was New York on August 18, 1911 and the ship was the La Breta. The ticket was purchased at Lucca, Italy. Al [Alvaro] was born in Migliarino, Pisa, Italy.

Tito was born in Vecchiano, Italy on 06/11/1881. He married Maria Jaconda Bertolani in Vecchiano, Italy, in 1906 when she was 17. My dad, Alvaro was born on 2/16/1907. Scipione was born on 5/22/1908. Maria Bertolani was born in 1890. Maria and the two boys were in Italy for at least 3 years before he returned. My dad remembered the trip and he was 3 at the time.

Tito's father was Guiseppe who married Emilia Bartolucci in Vecchiano in 1880. Tito was born a year latter. Tito evidently had a brother named Cesare and that was Joseph's father. Joseph was born in 1985, and since he was only 12 when Tito first came, I imagine he came later with the family???

The destination address for your Fanucci grandfather is now the corner of L and Fourth Street in downtown Sacramento. It would be an office building today. Just thought I'd let know you that I looked it up.
