      Text: Dr. George E. Moore, 80, prominent Antigo physicaian and surgeion, died this morning at Langlade County Memorial hospital after an extended illness. The son of the late University of WI Prof. and Mrs. R. A. Moore, he was born Apr 26, 1890 in Kewaunee and moved with his family to Madison at an early age. He was graduated in 1914 from the University of WI College of Agriculture, where his fther taught Agronomy, with a Bachelor of Science degree, but later decided to pursue a medical career. He entered Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, and was graduated from the medical school in 1918. He joined the Naval Reserve following graduation from medical school and was named to a residency as house surgeon at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn,. On Feb 12, 1919 he was married to Louise Knoll of New York City and they came to Antigo in June of that year. He joined his uncle, Dr. George W. Moore in medical practice in Antigo, and after his uncle moved to California, he was joined in practice in 1924 by Joseph W. Lambert, and in 1955 by Robert W. Cromer. Dr. Moore was a member of the American College of Radiology of the American Medical Association, a fifty year member of the WI State Medical Society and a lifetime member of the Langlade County Medical Society. Dr. Moore contributed articles and x-ray pictures on bone surgery to medical journals and was frequently quoted in Medical textbooks. He also wrote articles for the Eastman Kodak magazine and collaborated with Yale University in X-ray photography. Surviving Dr. Moore are his wife, the former Jessie Horlock of Chicago, and four sons, George Moore of Lansing, MI. Donald of Oshkosh, Frederick, Fond du Lac, and William at home and six grandchildren. Dr. Moore's first wife was fatally injured in an automobile collision in 1934. One brother Roger, also preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Congregational Church. The Rev. Richard Hetzel will officiate, and burial will
