          Aletha R. Keffer, 89, of Columbus, OH, formerly of McMechen, died Sunday, December 14, 2003 in Arbors East in Columbus.

          She was born January 26, 1914 in McMechen to the late Jacob and Ethel Slonaker.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and sisters.

          She is survived by a son, Walter "Buck" (Shirley Ann) Keffer, Jr. of Pickerinton, OH; grandson, Thomas Keffer of Denver, NC; four sisters, Imogene Chriswell of Columbus, Anna Tweedlie of McMechen, Lucille Whipkey of Columbus and June Scheider of Bethlehem, WV; on brother, Bud Slonaker of Los Angeles, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

          Graveside funeral service and interment will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McMechen Cemetery, McMechen.
