          Text: Alfred D. Bigam, 81, of Mill Run, died Sunday in H.C.Frick Community Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. He was born Sept. 12, 1902, at Mill Run, a son of the late David and Lucinda Cole Bigam. He was a lifelong resident of Mill Run. He was retired from Anchor Hocking Corp. Plant No. 5, and was a member of the GPPAW union. He was a former coal miner for many years and was a charter member of Springfield Twp Fire Company. He was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife Nancy Porterfield Bigam: two daughters, Mrs Dale (Roberta) Eicher, Mrs. R.W. ( Naomi) Eicher, both of Mill Run; a son Charles D. of Mill Run; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Day of Punta Gorda, Fla.; Mrs. Grace Rowan and Mrs. Earl 9Geraldine) Rowan both of Mill Run. He was preceded by his first wife, Edna M. Dull in 1963; a brother Grover Bigam; and a sister Mrs. Blanche Kelly; and a half-brother, Wilson Basinger. Included among his survivors is a brother, James S. Bigam of Connellsville. Friends will be recieved from 7 to 9 pm today and from 10 am to 9 pm Tuesday in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc, 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, where services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 pm with the Rev. Robert Blank officiating. Interment will be in Indian Creek Baptist Cemetery.
