!DEATH-BURIAL: Cemetery records; ; St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery; ; Pennsylvania Ave & 45th St, Pittsburgh PA; NOTE: Records of St. Mary's show she was 62 years old when she died, also burial was in Section 1, the lot owned by H.W. Blake and John Casey. There are no markers on any of the graves. There is a cement plot marker with the name H. W. Blake on it but it was covered by a thick layer of grass that had to be removed.

Her year of immigration is 1860 which is incorrect as the births of her children were recorded before that.

!IMMIGRATION: "The Famine Immigrants" - Arrivals at the Port of New York; 1846-1851; Vol.II; ; Library of Congress; NOTE: lists an M. Slyman, 12, daughter, as arriving 24 July 1847 aboard the Antwerp from Belfast along with a J. Slyman, mother, 48, and two sisters, 16 and 14. This would be the right age for Mary. Vol.III lists a Mary Sliman, age 16, arriving 16 Nov 1848 aboard the Vandalia from Liverpool along with an Ellen Sliman, 20, apparently a sister. Appears a little old for Mary if born 1835 (Census 1880). Also searched Vols I, IV, V, VI, and VII and found nothing. Castlegarden.org lists that family as a male age 48 with three young girls. Father and daughters?
