Clifford Geary, 81, of New Stanton, died Monday, May 22, 2006, in Pittsburgh Veterans Hospital. He was born Dec. 27, 1924, in Champion, a son of the late Samuel Geary and the late Ruth Miller Geary. He was a member of Hempfield Hunt Club. He was an avid gardener and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. He retired from Ryder Trucking of Irwin. Surviving are his daughters, Carol A. Geary, of New Stanton, and Audrey J. Spezialetti and husband Thomas, of Conway; sons, Clifford A. Geary and wife Julie, of Indiana, and Paul W. Geary and wife Pam, of Penn Hills; three grandchildren; sisters, Helen Griffith and Mabel Delsignore, both of Ohio, Ella Mae Malenich, of Sewickley, Opal Myers, of Irwin, and Mildred Felton, of Latrobe. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Kopacka Geary; a brother, Samuel Geary; four sisters, Joanne Kelly, Edna Lorz, Laura Niksa and Verna Papp. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the C. RICHARD MCCAULEY FUNERAL HOME INC., Youngwood. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Wilbur Hosler officiating. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. Military funeral rites will be accorded by the Armbrust Veterans Association. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Laurel Mountains Chapter, 1011 Old Salem Road, Greensburg, PA 15601.
