        Note: Samuel R. Geary Jr., 69, formerly of Youngwood, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 1997, in Greensburg. He was born March 4, 1928, in Champion, a son of the late Samuel R. and Ruth Miller Geary. He was retired from Walworth Valve Co. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Youngwood, the Hempfield Hunt Club and the A&B Club of Youngwood. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Nedrow Geary; and two sisters, Joan Loucks Kelly and Laura Niksa. He is survived by the following children: Charles R. Geary and his wife, Joyce, of Ruffsdale, Mrs. Henry (Dorothy J.) Kopczak of Greensburg and Mrs. Michael (Jean R.) Kern of Greensburg RD2; three grandchildren, Thomas Kopczak, Kimberly and Joseph Geary; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Clifford Geary and his wife, Ann, of New Stanton; and seven sisters, Mrs. Robert (Edna) Lorz of Des Plaines, Ill., Verna Papp of Verona, Mrs. Michael (Mabel) Delsignore and Mrs. Homer (Helen) Griffith, both of Wickliffe, Ohio, Opal Myers of Irwin, Mrs. Robert (Ella Mae) Malenich of Sewickley and Mrs. Clifford (Mildred) Felton of Latrobe. Friends will be received at the C. RICHARD McCAULEY FUNERAL HOME INC., Youngwood, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, with additional viewing at the funeral home from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church, Youngwood, with the Rev. Dennis J. Hoffman officiating. Interment in Youngwood Cemetery. Family suggests memorial contributions to First Presbyterian Church of Youngwood.
