    From handwritten genealogical notes of niece Lucy Furman, Rosalie Collins was born 29 Mar 1852 and died 1910.

    From family documents: Graduated from the State Normal School of New Jersey, 1870, according to minutes of meeting of graduating class (see http://freepages.history.rootsweb.com/~garyscottcollins/Reunion of State Normal School of New Jersey 1870.pdf ). Listed her home as Henderson, KY. Fellow, graduating student from Henderson was her aunt, Cornelia Hatchitt.

    From 1888 "KY, a History of the State" 7th Edition (Volume), by Perrin, Battle & Kniffin (FHL book 976.9 D3wt; and from Evelyn Sigler 7/1982) Pg.36: Listed as R.A. Collins. Was in 1888 a teacher in high school in Evansville, IN.

    1880 Census (LDS) b: abt 1852 TN, age 28, single, living in household of her father (see his entry).

    Letters addressed to Miss R. A. Collins, 1038 Madison Ave., Covington, KY (believed to be last home of her father) in 1907 show she was alive them; referred to as "Aunt Dossie" by Maurice Gunn, a nephew by Rosalie's sister Leila.

    Lineage Book, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution of Indiana, 1894-1900, Indianapolis, 1900: page 101, Vanderburgh Chapter, entry for Miss Rosalie Allan Collins 14840:
    Born in Tennessee. Descendant of Abraham Hatchitt. Daughter of John Dillard Collins and Elvira Hatchitt, his wife. Granddaughter of John Archer Hatchitt and Narcissa Williams, his wife. Gr-granddaughter of Abraham Hatchitt and Mary Farley, his wife. Abraham Hatchitt was a soldier in the Revolutionary War.
