He was born in Cranford, N.J. Oct. 7, 1892, and was the son of the late William and Frances Grant Chamberlain. He resided in Huntsville for the past 50 years. He was employed as a production manager for the American Chain and Cable Co., Wilkes-Barre, for 45 years, prior to retiring 25 years ago. He was a Vestryman at the Grace Episcopal Church, Kingston. He was a 30 year member of the Lehman Township Volunteer Fire Co. and a former Lehman Township school director. He is survived by his wife, the former Edith Collins; sons, Francis R., of Lake Silkworth; Walter E. Jr., with whom he resided; Robert N., of Fullerton, Calif.; Brother Alfred of Cranford, N.J., six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. ..."
