  • Note: He was a very prominent man in Colonia times. He was several times chosen as a legislator, was a member of the Committee of Safety, but lost his life during the Revolution. Upon attaining his majority he became possessed of the Tindall tract of land. Upon this tract of land he erected his home. Built on the beautiful bluffs which overlook the valley of the Crosswicks Creek, the Crosswicksung of the Indians, one cannot help but admire the good taste of the builder. It was erected in 1773.
