    !Her obituary in the "Centre Democrat" of Thu. 7 June 1917 read: "Mrs. Minnie B. Houser, the beloved wife of Edward P. Houser, of State College, died last Thursday morning at her home, of tuberculosis. The deceased was a daughter of the late Joseph and Harriet Evey and was born at Lemont about 45 years ago. Her husband and two children survive, Catherine and Gladys. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Elmer, of Lemont; Samuel, of Florida; Mrs. Lucy McGibboney, of Bradford; Mrs. Emma Rook, of Bradford. Funeral services were held at the late home on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Stover. Burial was made in the Pine Hall cemetery. Mrs. Houser was a kind, christian woman and a faithful member of the Reformed church."
