    From Wingfield's "Pioneer Families of Franklin County, Va.:" pp 93-94, "that John Wade, son of Henry and Lucy Turner Wade, married December 24, 1812, Elizabeth Hobson and had issue 11 children. Son John was sheriff of Franklin Co., Virginia. His first wife was Palmyra Ashinghurst, granddaughter of Robert Hill, and his second wife was Palmyra's sister, Adelia Ashinghurst. Another son, Zachfield, served in the 57th Virginia Regiment during the Civil War and married Louisa Ashinghurst."

    "If the above is correct it appears that the Ashinghurst girls' mother could be Lucy A. Hill a daughter of Robert Hill and Violet Linus."
