---Obituary - Macomb Daily, 25 March 1998: Ruth V. Purkey, 76, of Roseville (MI) died Monday, March 23, 1998, in Madison Heights. She was born March 17, 1922 in Paducah, KY. Mrs. Purkey was retired from Chrysler Corp. She was a member of VFW Reid Post, LFA 57, and Praying Hands Club. She is survived by her children Will (Linda) Egner of Trenton, Dean (Brenda) Egner of Covington, GA, and Janet DeWoody of Calif; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister Mary Lawrence Osborne. She was predeceased by her husband Fred; and son Robert Earl Egner. A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday in St. Peter Luthern Church, 23000 Gratiot, East Point, with Rev. William Otten and Rev. Paul Wargo officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery, East Point.
