    Per Stuart V. Clark:
    Military Service. Serial Number 36-867-666. Drafted into US Army
    Infantry 3 August 1943. Traveled to Fort Custer for processing and
    assignment. About 7 August 1943, was shipped to Camp Wolters, Texas
    (Mineral Wells) for basic training. Transferred into US Army Air
    Force for Officer Training. Was eliminated from the training program
    and attended Radio School at Scott Field, Illinois and graduated as a
    Radio Operator in 1944. Promoted to Corporal. Went to Yuma, Arizona
    for gunnery school and became a Radio Operator-Gunner. Promoted to
    Sergeant. Sent to Tonapah, Nevada and assigned to B-24 bomber for
    transition training. Promoted to Staff Sergeant. Completed training
    March 1945 and went to Pacific Theater of operations. Assigned to 5th
    Air Force, 380th Bomb Group, 528th Squadron. Completed tour of duty
    in Japan as a Radio Operator assigned to 5th Air Force, 375th Troop
    Carrier. Discharged from Service 15 February 1946.
    Completed an Electrical Apprenticeship at AC Spark Plug Division,
    General Motors Corporation (GMC) (1947-1951). Worked as an
    electrician until August 1951 (about 6 months) and was promoted to
    Quality Control Supervisor. The product was components of the bombing
    and navigational system for B-47 bombers. (1951-1956). Transferred to
    AC Milwaukee as a Manufacturing Engineer producing airborne electronic
    packages for Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) and later,
    Ground Support Systems for Missiles.
    December 1962, returned to the Flint area, with AC Spark Plug Division
    GMC, and settled in Flushing. Retired from AC August 1980.
