William was baptized May 21, 1570 according to the Tredington Parish Register, Worchestershire, ENG, which calls him "of thos Walton de Armescote
It is speculated that this is the William who married Elizabeth Dalby at Kineton, a few miles north of Oxhill, January 31, 1602 or 1603, because one of his sons was named Richard, a traditional Dalby name. If this is true, she must have died in time for William to remarry; a 1656 lease identifies Katherine as William's widow.
William is mentioned in the Muster Roll of 1599 for Military Service if needed.
Following are the supposed children of William and Katherine, some of whom are mentioned in the will of William's mother, Elizabeth: Thomas, William, Elizabeth, William, Mary and Richard. William and Katherine may also have had a son, John.
