    * From Cunningham Family, Leaves from the Family Tree, by Marqua Duncan, 2002 *
Dabney was buried on a hill under a tree near his home in Trigg County, Kentucky; very few in the Cunningham family know where Dabney was buried, as the tree is long gone. Bertie finally located his grave with the hlep of John Malone who had found it some twenty-five years earlier wile cutting timber on his farm.
Dabney was a namesake of his mother's brother, Dabney Carr. He was twelve years old when his family made the long move from Albemarle County, Virginia to Trigg County, Kentucky, in a covered wagon.
