F. J. Lindsey, Navarro Native Son, Is Dead
CORSICANA, Texas, Oct. 8 - F. J. Lindsey, 76, native of Navarro County, died at his home Friday night following an extended illness, and the funeral was held Saturday afternoon at the family home, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. He had been a member of the Third Avenue Presbyterian Church for many years. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. P. Martin Baker, pastor of the Third Avenue Presbyterian Church, assisted by the Rev. E. T. Miller, pastor of the First Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Eunice Orr, Los Angeles, Cal., and Mrs. W. M. Maddox, Dallas, a son, F. Tate Lindsey, assistant cashier of the First National Bank, Corsicana; a sister, Mrs. D. N. Price, Snyder; three grandchildren, Mrs. Staley Kessinger, Corsicana; Billie Maddox, Dallas and Tate Lindsey Jr. Corsicana, and a great-grandchild, Peggy Jean Kessinger, Corsicana.
