    Norma,
I do agree. Thought I'd said that, but I probably wasn't very clear about it.
As to Elizabeth, the daughter-in-law. Since Thomas (d. 1741) only named the two children of Clement, I'm thinking that Elizabeth was Clement's wife, not the wife of Thomas.
Concerning Susanna Howard as being a second wife. I have my doubts about that.
Will of William Howard, SMC, 4/28/1753-6/5/1753. Wife: Sarah all land during her life; Son, Clement land after d. of wife but not including land already given to my son-in-law, Hugh Wilson by a deed of gift formerly granted and confirmed by me; Daughter, Susanna Newton a chest; Granddaughter, Sarah Howard a mare filly. Wit: Anthony Roberts, Richard Ford, Ann Ford.
Here's the latest after making a number of changes based on discussions.
