    James (Jim) Tingley, 22, war veteran who was badly burned in an explosion in New Guinea and suffered recurrent Malaria attacks, was found shot to death with a .22 Caliber rifle nearby at his home near Anacortes Friday, Sheriff Walter Welch reported. He had been working nights at the Whidby Island naval station and his mother found the body when she went to call him to go to work. His father and two brothers also survive.
