Rector of Chaffcombe, county Somerset, England; instituted to that benefice, on Feb 4, 1609. Died early in 1641.
Rev. William Gillet's will was proved April 16, 1641. It mentions his daughters Abiah and mary, and his sons, Nathan, William, Thomas and Jeremiah. It does not mention his son, Jonathan, who probably received his bequest before leaving for America in 1630 or at the time of his marriage in England in 1634. His will makes bequests to his "Children in England" indicating there were other children in New England.
