There has never been any documentation found that links this Allen WILLEY with Isaac or Thomas as his children. In his unpublished genealogy posted on Rootsweb, he has done this in an effort to offer a possible father for both Isaac and Thomas. In 1909 the Boston Transcript genealogical section had a researcher state that this Allen was the father of these children, however once again, no documented sources are available. Also note, there has never been documentation that links Isaac and Thomas as brothers......................No one knows on what boat or on what day, Isaac, Thomas or Allen arrived in New England

The Willey crest is: a rose bush vert., bearing roses argent
The Willey arms are: 3 griffs passant sable (Burke: General Armory 1884)

Willey is an old English "wilig (willow) + leah (wood or clearing). In England there are 5 parishes and 5 towns named Willey as well as one town named New Willey, a Willey Manor in Herefordshire dating from 1086, a Willey House in West Surrey, a Willey Moor in Cheshire, and a Willey River in Wiltshire. On the Severin River, there was a Willey Foundry from 1719-1776 at least, which even made artillery used against the Colonies during the Revolutionary Way.

Surnames were adopted in England between 1250 and 1450. The Willey name is widespread in England, but fairly rare amoung immigrants - only 4 male Willeys came to New England efore 1685; Richard Willey married Alicia Somersby, 10-3-1546 in Alford, Lincoln, England. Rycherd Wylley and Salley Freer married in Myumby, 7 miles east of Alford, England, 7-3-1603. Their son, Allen was born 11-3-1605 and married Alice Mason on 5-15-1628 in Alford, England
