This is ongoing research that has had much help from the kindness of others. We have seen a great deal of false information online with some of these family names . If you find a connection here, you may contact me for further inquiry. If I do not have the answers, I will direct you to someone who may. Enjoy your journey and document your work.

Father Ponchel served St. Mary church solely from 1859 until his death in September, 1860. For several months the parish was served by a priest from Cleveland. Note: In the Wakeman Cemetery, there is a Michael Murray (1826 - 1910).

Author's Note: "Mr. Murray was a man noted for his honesty and uprightness, highly esteemed by all who knew him, and this community was made better for his having lived in it." With that statement made so many years ago, it seems a shame that we now are put in the position of defending the correct lineage of this family. It is in stark contrast, isn't it. We are aware of another researcher who has this family listed inaccurately. Grandson, George Murray, had four grandchildren; two female by youngest son and two male by the middle son. The marriage of Murray / King did not produce children as another researcher has posted. The two male children they have posted under living Murray / King marriage are from living King's first marriage to Mr. Criss.
