      Text: " Mr. John R. Hemmons died at his home in Ridgely Tuesday morning of general debility, aged 69 years. In early manhood Captain Hemmons followed the water, playing between Centreville and Baltimore. For many years he conducted a baking business at Centreville and Denton. He had resided at Ridgely for 10 years. A widow and four children survive."
