transported to Australia 22/10/1833 sentence 7 years. Arrived in Sydney on the ship 'Surrey' on 17/8/1834. His certificate of freedom was issued in 1841 after which he settled in Goodradigbee where he rented a farm from John Terry.

'William Tate & Henry Johnson for stealing 2 sovereigns 5sh and 6d in silver, two silver tea spoons, a diamond ring value 20gns and a wedding ring, on 30th Sept last from Mr Wm Newson of Thorpe Morieux'.

Lost a front upper tooth, a small round scar right side of chin, two scars inside lower arm, scar back of middle finger of right hand, SHCM inside lower left arm, mark of burn inside left wrist, blue ring fouth finger of left hand.
Name of master to whom convict assigned, J M Rose Yass.
