      Text:
Because of the probable relationship of several emigrants; a reconstruction of the family of Jacob Klein of Ulmet has been attempted. Jacob Klein came to Ulmet before the birth of his last child in 1715. His former residence has not been located. It would appear from the records available at Ulmet that his family included the following children. There may have been others.
      Ulmet Reformef KB:
      1. Maria Margaretha m. in the Reformed Church at Otterberg in 1725 Jost Herbach, son of Peter Herbach. She is mentioned in the records as a daughter of Jacob Klein, master tailor at Ulmet. Joh. Jost Herbach was bp. 21 Apr. 1699 at Aspach [possibly Aschbacherhof, located north og 6751 Trippstadt], a son of Joh. Peter Harbach and his wife Anna Maria. Jost Harbach emigrated in 1737. His bp. is recorded in the Trippstadt Reformed KB. See Karl Scherer, ed. Pfalzer-Palatines, (Kaiserslauterm, 1981): 291-312 for additional family data.
      2. Joh. Peter bp. 21 May 1725, conf.1739
Several other children were born to this couple, and they are mentioned in later records as residing in Irtzweiler [Erzweiler].
      3. Ursula, conf. 1722, Ulmet
      4. Joh. Jacob conf 1722, Ulmet
      5. Susanna Maria conf. 1726, Ulmet
      6. Joh. George bp. 13 Oct. 1715, m. 1737 Dorothea Rebmann. Emigrated 1738.
By 1737, the father Jacob Klein is mentioned as residing in Neunkirchen am Potzberg.
