is inferred from the date first kid was born according to family bible.
DEATH: Mary Fields death is in family bible xerox.
Fields Bible is actual photocopy but marriage page missing.
But L.P. fields Sr death is not listed in Bible, date is from his grave
--or equivalently Marshes' Cem records book(I used Marshes letter to me-
--I haven't seen the actual book;
EVIDENCE THAT HER SURNAME IS THOMAS:
1860 Bedford Co TN census says she was born TN; She's buried in the
same little subsection of the New Hope Church Cem in
Fairfield,Bedford,TN with David Thomas and wife Martha, her stone
and family bible from Cochrane Family in florida give the 9 Feb 1824
birth date; another reason to think Mrs. L.P. (Mary) Fields was dtr
of Martha "Patsey" Moseley and David Thomas is that 1860 census of
Mr/Mrs LP Fields includes John THOMAS age 18 along w. Fields kids.;
David Thomas census 1830 Bedford Co TN 0021201-0111001 page 111; 1840
Bedford Co p 17 000021001-0001 have a female of age to be b.1824.
both censuses are near a Gray Linch even though apparently they moved
around between the censuses dates. A Linch Married another Moseley girl
Amey Moseley md Lewis Linch 1802 Brunswick Co VA marriage bk, Iberian
Pubs.; A Mary Thomas is in New Hope Church baptism records held by
Mrs. Clyde Brothers (Joyce). Aprx 1848 baptism; they baptized as
teenagers by immersion in the creek below and slightly upstream from
New Hope church. Also in 1834 David Thomas witnesses a land transaction
of Moseley family, and Moseley was also Mary's son in laws name

1860 Bedford Co census p.88 printed #s, or p.12 original handwritten #s,
has a Winn Thomas age 50, next to Rachel {Martin} Tillman age 71 b. SC
& E A Moseley age 58 b. VA. (Martin home was where Mary Thomas Fields
lived, at least after 1860, and David Winn Thomas would be the Brunswick
Co VA grandfather of this Mary, if her parents are ones I am claiming;
