DIED- Anthony MARTIN, who had been a resident of the copper country since the early 1850's, d ied yesterday at his home in West Houghton of apoplexy. He was born in New York City and aft er coming to the copper country he worked in all of the principal mines of the area. He marri ed a copper country girl who survived him, and 9 children- Mrs. Tony A. WEBBER of Hancock; Mr s. Henry KRELLWITZ and Mrs. George ROBBINS, both of Houghton; the Misses Frances; Agnes and F olna MARTIN; the Messrs John P.; Tony H; Joseph and Steven MARTIN, all of Houghton. The funer al services will be held Saturday from St Ignatius Catholic Church, Houghton. Burial will a t Forest Hill cemetery, Houghton.

I further represent that said deceased die d on the Thirteenth day of August A.D. 1905, leaving no last will and testament, as I am info rmed and believe. I further represent that said deceased was, at the time of his death, an i nhabitant of the Village of Houghton in the said county and left estate within said county t o be administered, and that the estimated value thereof is as follows: real estate, $4000.00 , or thereabout; personal estate, $no, or thereabout, as I am informed and believe. The names and places fit; Anthony Martin's father was August Martin per his birth certificat e & Anthony was born in New York (although it shows only Mary Martin being born in New York o n the 1850 WI Census) -- but at this stage it is pure speculation that this is the proper MAR TIN family.
