    Alice J. Carson, 89, of Cowden, died at 6:55 p.m. Sunday, June 17, 1964, in Shelby Memorial Hospital, Shelbyville.
    Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Free Methodist Church, Cowden. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Cowden. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Lock and sons Funeral Home, Cowden.
    Mrs. Carson was born in Fayette County, daughter of John and Jenny Miller. She was a member of Free Methodist Church, Cowden. She married Isaac M. Carson in 1909. He died in 1959.
    Surviving are her sons, Richard Miller of Peoria and John W. Carson of Cowden; daughters, Mary Boling of Denver, Colo., Ruth Cochran of Shelbyville and Roberta Carson of Cowden; sister, Arminda Ellis of Sidney; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. ~
