    Francis Langston was born in 1820 and lived on the same land as his ancestors.

    This site was where the Battle of Bentonville took place.

    Francis Langston lived next to the home of John Harper.

    In 1867, G. R. Britt initiated a court action against Francis Langston to recover money owed to him.
    The Johnston County Court awarded Britt 43 acres of land that adjoined the John Harper property.
    Evidently this was the same land that was left to Francis Langston by his father Joseph Langston, Jr.
