    Wilson, NC
    11 July 1933

    Mr. M. D. Owens
    Clerk, Superior Court
    Wilson, North Carolina

    Dear Mr. Owens:

Inasmuch as the fall is coming on and there will be some one badly needed to act as administrator or administrators for my mother's estate
(Mrs. Fannie Lucas) I am asking that you consider appointing an administrator for the estate at once. I have endeavored to get all the heirs together for the purpose but so far have been unable to do so. However, the majority of the heirs think it would be best for you to appoint the administrator or administrators-and they seem to think it would be best to select two (2) of the heirs to act as administrators. This of course we leave to your good judgment.

I would be glad to talk the matter over with you at any time if the matter is not entirely clear to you.

    Yours very truly,

    Loyd T. Lucas
