    Jacob Dockter, realizing that he could not get along without a mate
    and a mother for his children, he married Mrs. Margaretha Stroh, nee
    Stoecker. They lived together nineteen years, Mrs. Dockter dying on
    June 18th, 1914. They had seven children, two of whom survive and
    are: Mrs. Magdalena Schwindt and Mrs. Martha Lehr.

    Emanuel Lehr, son of Andrew Lehr, Sr. and Fredricka Aman Lehr was
    born at Hillsview, S.D. in McPherson County April 3, 1902. He grew
    to his manhood on the farm that his parents homesteaded. June 30,
    1924 he married Martha Docktor at Ashley, N.D. Martha was born
    December 6, 1904 near Venturia, N.D. to Jacob Docktor and Margaret
    Stoecker Docktor.
