Some of my memories of grand-daddy were going fishing, scaling the fish
in washroom off the carport, shucking corn in the back of his pick-up
truck with one of his many pocket knives, peppermint sticks (the sugary
and sweet kind), chewing tobacco (he tried to teach Jennifer and I how to
spit one day), his love of banana pudding, sugar cane he would bring home
for us, him teaching me how to split wood and chop kindling (I was
probably under 10 the first time this happened), and going to Great Aunt
Ina's house to pick peas.
