Note: FROST Florence L. FITCH, 96, of Canton RR 2, PA died Sunday, May 14, 1995 at the troy Community Hospital. Born August 10, 1998 in Schuyler County, NY, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Marie B. Bement Frost. Mrs. Fitch was a long-time member of the Alba Christian Church and belonged to the Minnequa Grange No. 654 for 58 years. Surviving is her husband of 80 years, Robert D. Fitch, at home; a daughter, Adelia Pepper of Williamsport; daughters and sons-in-law, Nellie and Harold Harlan of Cogan Station, PA, Gladys and Ed Holmes of Granville summit, PA and Florence and Richard DeCoursey of Liberty PA; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by daughters, Anna Moore in 1962 and Marylyn Case in 1991; a son, Robert Fitch Jr. in 1982; two grandchildren, a sister and three brothers. Funeral services were held May 17 (2 pm) at the Pepper Funeral Home in Canton with the Rev. Jasper Smith officiating and interment to be in East Canton Cemetery, Canton Township. Memorials may be directed to the Alba Christian Church, c/o Betty Ferguson, RR 2, Box 68, Canton, PA 17724 in Mrs. Fitch’s memory.
