    From researcher, Mary Willems (Jan 2002 email: ramcwest@gwtc.net)

    The children I have listed for Jesse Fry are: Peter Esli, Noah O., Hannah Sarah (who married James Conover), Elkanah Samuel, Elizabeth Cynthia, Gideon, John Jay, Lewis Kampman, Nelson, Simeon, George, Joannah.

    Per my Mom, Jesse ran a flour mill on the Neosho River in Neosho or Labette County Kansas.

    According to my Mom's records how some of the children died: one drowned in the Neosho River on Fry's Ford, 1 died of maleria, one died of chills, one killed by an Indian, and one kicked by a horse.

    Hannah and James Conover had 3 children: Ollie, Ada J., and Minnie. Minnie was my g-grandmother). In our family, Minnie was always know as Minnie Fish Fry, according to my grandmother. I always thought that was a pretty cool name. Thru the computer I see they list her name as Minnie Eff.

    I have birth dates, but just what I picked up on the computer for Jesse's children.

    On the Conover genforum.com, I recently found a message from a man who has an autograph book that belonged to his great-grandmother, Martha Esmeralda (Fry), and it contained signatures from Hannah Sarah (Fry) Conover and her husband James and the children. He was wondering who these people were, so I answered a follow-up. That was really exciting to see.

    Great hearing from you. Mary Willems

    ===============

    Just received a letter from my Mother. Here is what she said about the Frys: Since John Fry died in Arkansas(John is Jesse's brother), I wonder if Jesse Fry died there also, since 2 of his children went to Arkansas. They all just vanished and I don't know when or where they were buried.

    Clifty, Arkansas about 15 miles from Fayetteville, where Gideon Fry and Johanna (Fry) Moore lived.

    John (Jesse's brother), died in 1895.

    Darn, I didn't realize that they hadn't stuck around in KS. Would have made things easier.

    I have some birthdates On Penninah and Jesse's children-no documentation though, but may make it easier for you to document.
