      I now have SO much info. on this group, and their descendants! If you could put a note on your site, that I have more info., that would be wonderful. For as many descendants as these folks have, you'd think I'd have managed to "connect" with more than just a few.

      In response to your inquiry, we have searched our records and have found the following:
      MATTHIAS TAYLOR b. Dec. 5, 1752 - Maryland
      m. May 9, 1774 - MARY OWEN b. 1753 - Maryland
      We do not know the date Matthias came to N.C. Mary Owen came unmarried with her half sister Ann Smith Slater in 1772.
      Children were:
      1. Elisabeth - b. March 9, 1775 -d. Nov. 19, 1784
      2. Ann - b. Oct. 26, 1776 (**KARIN's NOTE-m. John Samuel Peddycoart, 1796 in N.C.)
      3. Sarah - b. Dec. 17, 1778 - d. Sept., 1798
      4. Anne - b. June 16, 1781 - d. June 24, 1781
      5. William - b. May 29, 1783 - d. May 28, 1797
      6. Mary Ann - b. July 22, 1785(**KARIN's NOTE-m.Thomas Cleophus Hamilton, 1805 Tuscarawas Cty., OH)
      7. John - b. May 17, 1787 (**KARIN's NOTE-m.1st - Maria Catherine Ginther/m. 2nd - Mary Barbara Ginther)
      8. Rebecca - b. June 20, 1792 (KARIN's NOTE - d. abt. age 19-20, in Ohio - can't recall right now exactly when!)
      9. Thomas - b. Nov. 15, 1794 (KARIN's NOTE - d. Before 1804)
